Excerpt

How many kisses had he seen on television? And yet never had any of these encompassed the otherworldliness of sharing another's breath, entering another's mouth, the tang of it, not bitter and not sweet, but something slippery in between, sour like milk, with the sweetness of flesh. It was an experience full of mutual struggle, lips nipped by hard teeth, nose aside nose, a wrestle of tongues.

Writing Description

Stories in which the taut reality of the world often tears--in usually fantastic or weird ways--under the pressure of characters' overconfidence and belief that they have the universe all figured out. And then they suffer. And then they come out the other side, changed.

Goals

To write at least 500 words a day. If things go well, complete a rough draft of a story a week.

I'll bring in whatever donations I can by posting about my efforts on my homepage blog, and on LiveJournal.
