Bio
E.C. Myers has a day job where he stares at a computer screen trying to look busy, then spends his nights--often late nights--staring at a computer screen trying to write. Sometimes he succeeds, and the results of his sleep deprivation have appeared in fine publications such as Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, Sporty Spec: Games of the Fantastic (Raven Electrick Ink), and From the Asylum. He graduated from the Clarion West Writers Workshop in 2005 and is a proud member of Altered Fluid, a writing group in New York City.

Writing Description
My short fiction is generally slipstreamish urban fantasy, though I will write anything else that strikes my fancy including horror, science fiction, and (gasp!) literary. My novel-length work so far has been young adult fantasy and sf.
Goals
I had great success with last summer's Write-a-thon, completing the first draft of my first novel. So this seems like a great opportunity to make progress on the sequel, another YA novel, titled Quantum Coin. I'm aiming to complete at least 5000 words a week, but more would be terrific. I expect to write every day for at least an hour to make this goal. I would also like to revise a few short stories I have on the back burner and write a new one or two on the side.
I hope to get a lot of my friends interested in supporting me through an open invite on my blog, and I'll spam others through e-mail. Since the start of CW coincides with my birthday, I'd like to ask people to give donations in lieu of buying me presents this year.
